(I-AutoNewsWire.com, September 27, 2014 ) Redford, MI – Daly Beach Locksmith Service, a company based in Redford, shares a list of locksmith certification necessary to prove that a service provider is legitimate. Since Michigan holds no licensing program for its local locksmiths, proper certification will help in distinguishing a good locksmith company or not.
There are five (5) certifications which has to be obtained in order to be considered legitimate by the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA). An industry personnel tracks and tests locksmith service providers in order to guarantee their compliance within the state’s regulations.
The Redford-based Daly Beach Locksmith Service (http://RedfordMILocksmithService.blogspot.com) lists them down below:
1. General Locksmith Certification is given to various designations falling under one umbrella. Among this is the Registered Certification, which is given to those who were accepted in the program when it first launched in the mid-1980s. The designation is also given to an active industry technician who has completed the basic course and accumulated 12 education units in ALOA’s continuing education program.
2. ALOA Registered is given to an individual who has completed a 90-day standard probationary period. They are working as a professional in the security industry but are still not qualified to perform locksmith services.
3. Certified Registered is given to those who has a good working knowledge of the locksmith industry in general. This requires having passed 10 mandatory categories and two or more specialized electives of choice.
4. Certified Professional is granted to a locksmith service who has obtained a Certified Registered status and has passed an additional 12 electives. Locksmiths with this designation has extensive knowledge of the industry, both in general sense and various specializations.
5. Certified Master is the highest form of certification given to a locksmith service. Workers with this designation has proven their knowledge in 90% of the categories as offered by the ALOA’s Proficiency Registration Program. These people have advanced knowledge in electronic security as well as other areas of the locksmith industry.
Knowing these designations can help consumers be more aware of the types of companies they can call on to whenever there’s an emergency. Basic locksmith services can be provided by a certified registered technician. For those who are in need of a more meticulous security aid, a certified professional or a certified master will be most helpful.
